The unique square pulse means iPulse technology constantly produces the perfect spectrum of light for treatment, so vascular and pigmented blemish removal is extremely effective. This includes removing red patches of skin and fine broken veins.

Intense pulsed light is absorbed by the melanin of the pigmented lesion and the oxyhaemoglobin in the fine blood vessels of general redness or broken capillaries. The light, which isn’t reflected off the skin, scatters beneath the skin’s surface and is absorbed in the melanin and blood. The melanin is coagulated by the absorbed heat energy and in blood vessels is conducted to the delicate vessel walls (vascular endothelium) whose cells are damaged by the heat causing the vessel to collapse or completely coagulate. This removes the blemished appearance.
